Help for Orphan Children Organization (HOCO) has always been an advocate for children’s rights. That is why members of the board from HOCO’s main office in Afghanistan attended national and international meetings about safeguarding the rights and protection of Afghan children. The members also participated in the inauguration of the “Policy of the Ministry of Interior Affairs”.
As the colder months in Afghanistan are approaching, HOCO visited the Orphaned and Vulnerable Child Support Center (OVCSC) in Kabul, Afghanistan, and provided blankets, winter clothes, and supplies to the children who live there. The majority of the young children living at these centers are orphans who live with mental health illnesses or are affected by brain injury & paralysis.
Due to the devastating floods that hit the northern and eastern areas of Parwan province, Help for Orphan Children Organization (HOCO) staff and volunteer members helped distribute blankets to over 200 families in Parwan Province. Eid is a day of celebration for Muslims, especially Muslim children around the world. It is a day filled with immense happiness and joy. For December, our organization’s main goal was to begin to help and support our student educational programs. We are incredibly proud of our students and their commitment and perseverance toward their education.
